All kitted out for Diepsloot sports development

DIEPSLOOT - The Diepsloot Youth Programme's soccer team has been given a much-needed donation from Croxley Stationery.

At the handover event held at Akani centre in Diepsloot, the stationery company kitted out the team with 77 pairs of soccer boots and socks, and 77 sets of shorts and tops. The kits were handed to members of the soccer team by Bidvest Wits professional soccer players. Led by club’s assistant coach, Paul Johnson, Bidvest stars Papy Faty, Phumlani Ntshangase, Siyabonga Nhlapo, Jabulani Shongwe and Thulani Hlatshwayo who also plays for Bafana Bafana, interacted with the excited Diepsloot youths.

After the much-anticipated and exciting handover, the youth programme players swiftly changed into their brand spanking new kits to get ready for the training clinic which was headed by the professional players and assistant coach. The team then played a friendly match against another local team, the Diepsloot Crusaders.

Even under cloudy skies, the day was a great success and the sponsorship was just the start of the many initiatives between the Croxley brand and the Diepsloot Youth Programme.
