A community that braais together, bands together
MAGALIESSIG - The smoky smell of braai fires and the sound of chatter and laughter filled the suburb of Magaliessig during the Magaliessig Community Braai.
The gathering, which was organised by the Magaliessig Action Forum, took place on 28 March at the grassy area on Leslie Avenue East, outside the Mulberry Lane complex.
The event was a joyous affair with residents meeting and greeting their neighbours as well as important organisations in their area including the forum and their Douglasdale police sector manager Warrant Officer Hein van Heerden.
Yet the event was not all business and residents happily took in the picturesque surroundings of Magaliessig while munching on delicious braai meat and enjoying a happy and friendly atmosphere.
