Please reconsider fireworks

Roy Minster writes: As a resident in the Fourways area I am appalled to read that Galencia Properties intends to have a fireworks display in a densely populated residential area.

Your paper has so often reported on the injuries and loss of life of innocent pets and wildlife during the legal window of the discharging of fireworks, let alone a random one with little warning.

Galencia have a pathetic rider in their advert saying that ‘we love animals’. What hypocrites. If they did they would never consider this reckless display.

What is going to happen to all the pets that are at home when their owners are unaware of the pending explosions?

Galencia, please reconsider for the sake of all the animals in Craigavon and surrounds, and cancel the fireworks and put your efforts into something more constructive.
