Riding to victory
FOURWAYS - After a successful two-day show at Canterbrooke Stables in Kyalami, Siobhan Records’ horse Rathmor Caprice placed first in his debut medium dressage classes.
Royal Darco placed third, while Prix St Georg placed second. Equinox Padover managed to score two firsts in the elementary segment and Regardez Moi scored two seconds in his debut prelim dressage. Albi Zany took a first in novice. This was the first competitive show for these horses since October last year and Regardez Moi, or Reggie as he is known, competed in his first show ever.
Records explained that it is all about team work and without the expertise of her stable manager, Trojan Maphosa, plaiting, getting horses saddled up on time and helping with quick change over from one horse to the next, things would not run as smoothly as they did at Canterbrooke.
“The horses love Trojan as he is firm but gentle and calm. They are relaxed with him and trust him,” she added.
