See you later alligator

FOURWAYS- Six American alligators have been integrated into the Croc City and Reptile Park.

Spokesperson of Croc City and Reptile Park, Sarah Martin said the alligators were born in South Africa, but the adults were brought in from America 10 years ago.

The park is located on the outskirts of Lanseria and the Cradle of Humankind. It was established specifically for the breeding of crocodiles and displays a wide rage of reptiles, both indigenous and exotic, and houses some of the country’s most venomous snakes and spiders. Martin said great emphasis was placed on educating park visitors about the creatures and the more adventurous are allowed the opportunity to touch the baby ‘gators’.

Less daring park-goers can watch an educational show or take a guided tour while still enjoying these remarkable creatures.
