Traffic is a big issue in 2015

FOURWAYS - Matome Mafokwane, councillor for Ward 96 said in the new year he would focus on traffic-related issues in his ward.

Mafokwane spent last year tackling service delivery issues in his ward. He said the improved service delivery in the ward had started to bridge the gap between citizens and public sectors which was going a long way to improving quality of life.

Mafokwane said next year traffic would be a major issue because Cedar Road would undergo construction next year to improve the quality and size of the road. Mafokwane said he would try to assist residents with the envisaged traffic congestion by bringing together Metro police and the Johannesburg Roads Agency. He said he would also initiate anti-litter campaigns to clean-up the pavements and public areas in the ward.

“I wish all Fourways residents a very prosperous new year and I look forward to serving you in 2015 and beyond,” Mafokwane said.
