Three arrested after high-speed car chase
FOURWAYS - Three suspects were arrested, and another is still at large, following a hijacking at Fourways Crossing Shopping Centre on 3 December.
The suspects, driving the hijacked white Mercedes Benz, collided with a silver BMW at the intersection of William Nicol Drive and Montecasino Boulevard.
Douglasdale police spokesperson Warrant Officer Balan Muthan said three suspects have been arrested by the Douglasdale police after a chase ensued between security guards and the suspects. One suspect fled on foot.
Unlicensed firearms were recovered from the hijacked vehicle. The driver of the BMW was injured and has been transported to hospital by Emer-G-Med paramedics.
