Attempted hijacking at school

LONEHILL- There was an attempted hijacking at Crawford Preparatory School in Lonehill on the morning of 26 November.

Eyewitnesses said the suspects held up the school guards with a pistol and a rifle.

Warrant Officer Balan Muthan, head of communications for the Douglasdale police, said male suspects tried to hijack a woman of her Porsche, outside the school but failed. At this time there is confusion as to whether there were three or four suspects.

The suspects allegedly fled in a white Subaru with the registration ‘CY43YZGP’.

According to a police officer who was at the scene the suspects fled towards Main Road, heading North.

The police gave chase but lost the suspects in the traffic.

The suspects are all aged between 20 and 25 years old.
