BREAKING: Montecasino balloon falls out of the sky

MAGALIESIG - Fourways residents may have thought they were dreaming when they saw the Hyundai hot-air balloon at Montecasino seemingly pop up and fly away.

A representative from aerial displays, the company which owns the balloon, was called for comment by the Fourways Review, however she was rushing to the site at the time to determine the exact cause of the balloon’s malfunction. However, she confirmed that the balloon definitely did malfunction.

Eyewitnesses said there were people in the balloon at the time and Emer-G-Med, who responded to the scene said one person was injured.

According to Montecasino’s website, the balloon is the largest helium balloon and largest billboard on the continent and can carry a maximum of 30 people per ride.

Social media reacted promptly to the event, tracking the whereabouts of the balloon until its landing.
