The hospitable hub

FOURWAYS - The Riversands Incubation Hub is a corporate social responsibility programme aimed at mentoring Diepsloot residents who are unemployed.

The programme was initiated by Century Property Developments. The Hub recently launched a waitress and waiter programme for Diepsloot residents to create employment opportunities for the upcoming Christmas season.

The first vocational training was successfully completed by eight participant’s. The Hub’s team is currently in negotiations with various hotels to have the graduates placed into various jobs.

The Hub’s spokesperson Anne Vicente said, “As a result of the extremely positive response we’ve had about our first graduates and requests from large players in the hospitality industry for additional trainees, we are considering making this a regular monthly programme.”

The programme is the brainchild of Mark Corbett, CEO of Century Property Developments which had been involved with the Diepsloot Youth Programme for a number of years.
