Titans will clash at EFC Africa 35

SUNNINGHILL - EFC Africa 35 will feature a clash of the titans, with Sunninghill's Norman 'Chef' Wessels set to fight against Gideon 'Juggernaut' Drotschie.

It’s been a long road back to the cage for Wessels but the end is almost in sight. There has been no love lost between the two fighters ever since their public stand-off at EFC Africa 28. Ever since then, public interest has grown in leaps and bounds to see these fighters settle the score in the cage. A previous encounter between the two athletes had to be put on hold as Drotschie injured his back and was unable to fight, which in turn added more fuel to the fire for the upcoming title bout.

Wessels was declared EFC Africa’s first ever heavyweight champion and is now setting his sights on the Light Heavyweight title that currently belongs to Drotschie. A factor that adds even more intensity to this already explosive fight is the fact that Wessels will be fighting in his hometown, the Mother City. Add to this Drotschie’s return from injury, the much-publicised bad blood between the fighters, and Wessels’ desire to take another championship belt, and you have all the ingredients for an epic encounter.

Wessels vs Drotschie is setting up to be one of the biggest clashes of the year and will take place at Cape Town’s Grand West Casino on 6 November.
