Come 12 October, thousands of women will take part in the Spar Women’s 10km Challenge and 5km Fun Run.
Although many runners have their sights set on the big prize, Ronel Thomas and other runners have a much bigger reason for participating in the challenge.
Thomas’ father recently passed away from cancer and she has dedicated her run to him.
While veteran runner Sonja Laxton has dedicated her race to all those who have been affected by cancer and to her friend who is a breast cancer survivor.
