Pedestrian killed after being knocked down

According to Emer-G-Med paramedics, they responded to reports of a motor vehicle collision on Witkoppen Road, however when they arrived at the scene they discovered that a car had actually collided with a pedestrian.

The paramedics said the pedestrian had sustained multiple fatal injuries and was declared dead on scene.

Emer-G-Med paramedics warned motorists to be aware of pedestrians. They also urged pedestrians to cross public roads only when safe to do so and only at allocated crossings.
