Spin for Botshabelo

CROWTHORNE - The annual 'spinathon' that is aimed at raising funds for Botshabelo Babies' Home is around the corner.

This year they are hosting it at Lonehill Virgin Active on 20 September from 9:30am until 12:30pm.

The event is open to anyone to join in. Non-Virgin Active members must bring their driver’s licence or ID. Registration is R50 and R100 is the fee for every hour a contestant rides.

Money raised will go to providing for the children living in Botshabelo Babies’ Home.

A team of cyclists have pledged to ride races in Johannesburg in order to raise awareness and funds for Botshabelo. They are called the Purple Peloton. Cyclists are invited to join the team. There are opportunities for non-cyclists to get involved as well. Sponsors are needed for the team and in return, they’ll be getting advertising space on the team’s kit.
