On 21 August the Witkoppen road rage suspect will make his second court appearance in the Randburg Magistrates’ Court.

The suspect is charged with common assault and malicious damage to property, which occurred during a road rage incident on Witkoppen Road on 28 July. During the incident the road rage suspect, alighted from the passenger side of a Porsche and intimidated a fellow motorist who reportedly hooted at him for throwing an object out of his window.

The incident was caught on camera by another motorist and the video went viral. The suspect was scheduled to make his first court appearance on 30 July, but failed to appear when called and the magistrate issued a warrant for his arrest. However, his lawyer petitioned for him to appear on the same day on the grounds that he had not heard his name being called. After the suspect appeared before the magistrate his case was postponed to 21 August.
