Stable manager arrested on theft charges
JOBURG - A prominent stable manager from Blue Hills in Midrand was taken in to custody on Thursday.
The manager was arrested on charges of stealing various items from the owner of the land in Rietfontein she used to rent, and ran stables from.
The owner of the property, who laid the charges, alleged that the items disappeared after the manager vacated the premises.
Items included curb stones, electric geysers, fence energisers and fire extinguishers.
The owner said the manager “illegally” instructed people to move these.
The owner laid charges against the manager at Sandton Police Station.
Captain Kym Cloete of Sandton Police Station said the manager was arrested and appeared in Alexandra Magistrate’s Court on 25 July.
The stolen items are allegedly worth over R127 000.
