Steyn City launches search for new design talent
STEYN CITY - The north’s newest, most luxurious residential estate has launched a competition to unearth the creative flair of local designers.
The Four D Interior Design Challenge will see new designers committing their talents to decorate and furnish an apartment in Steyn City’s ‘city in a park’, soon to grace the north of Johannesburg.
Steyn City has partnered with Expresso and SABC 3’s Win a Home to search for designers with a knack for incorporating the vibe of city life and the peace of the resort’s parkland spaces.
The competition welcomes entries from all budding designers, and a shortlist of 10 entries will be selected for the judges’ consideration. As the competition’s name suggests, four handpicked designers will then compete to become the Steyn City Four D designer for 2014. These creative talents will work under the mentorship of four top South African interior designers to decorate and furnish four shell apartments in Steyn City’s green parklands.
The showdown between these four bright new stars of the design world will be broadcast on SABC 3’s Win a Home, launching on SABC3 on 21 August. In addition to bringing fame and prestige to new designers, the competition offers cash prizes for all four finalists. The deadline for entries is 11 August.
