Develop a wild eye in the Bird Gardens

MAGALIESSIG- Wild-Eye Photography in the Design Quarter is offering photographers and photography enthusiasts a unique opportunity of a guided photography walk thorough the Montecasino Bird Gardens.

While most of Wild-Eye’s photographic expeditions take them to exotic destinations on the African continent, this one will take you no further than Fourways.

Andrew Beck of Wild-Eye explained that the purpose of the walk is to allow photographers to practise and utilise their knowledge and skills with like-minded people.

“During the walk you will learn tips and techniques that you may not have known previously, and we also set goals to encourage you to change the way you see photography,” he said.

The Bird Gardens are the perfect setting for the photographic walk as it is home to a variety of bird species, reptiles and mammals, many of which you can get up close to.

The walk is free, however guests will have to pay the Bird Gardens’ entrance fee of R53 for adults and children over 10, or R30 for pensioners and children under 10.

The walk starts at 9.30am and lasts two hours. The first walk for the year will be on 2 February and thereafter there will be walks on 13 April, 8 June, 28 September and 9 November.
