Graduates fly high at Montecasino

MAGALIESIG- Montecasino's Graduate Development Programme offers a great opportunity to graduates interested in joining the working world of an entertainment precinct.

Tati Tsunke, human resources manager of Montecasino, explained that Montecasino has long recognised the need to attract and retain people of the highest calibre to its workforce of more than 1200. The entertainment complex is constantly reviewing and redefining its staff development programmes to ensure that every person is able to perform to their full potential while enjoying what they do.

During the programme, graduates are taken through a 12-month rotational development training period that provides a solid foundation for the working world of Montecasino as well as a wide array of internal and external training courses.

Each graduate is assigned to a full-time coach and is monitored against a structured developmental plan. Through this plan, graduates gain valuable practical experience as well as the esteem and skills they need to become specialists or managers in their functions. The programme also allows graduates to identify future areas of interest.

According to Tsunke the qualities which a candidate must possess to qualify for the programme are good academic results, excellent communication skills, a sense of humour, confidence, commitment, a positive attitude and creativity.

Since its implementation three years ago, 22 graduates have completed the programme.

“We are extremely proud of our graduates and their dedication to gaining as much from the programme as possible,” Tsunke said. “The bottom line is that our success is driven by the total talent quality of our team.”
