Taxi drivers beat female Metro cop

FOURWAYS- Family experiences taxi violence first hand.

Lisa writes:

My 13-year-old son and I were battling our way through morning traffic on William Nicol Drive two weeks ago when we witnessed a vicious attack by three taxi drivers on a female Metro police officer directing traffic.

One man in a red jacket was holding her while two other taxi drivers assaulted her, punching her so hard that she literally took off, landing on her head. They then proceeded to punch her some more.

I stopped to get out my cellphone, hoping to photograph or take a video of the assault, but fearing for our safety, I called an emergency number and got through to Douglasdale Police Station and RSS Security, who responded very quickly.

We were both very shaken by this incident and it seems to be becoming a regular occurrence as we witness more and more complete disregard for the law from taxi drivers on this route.

Due to all the road works from Diepsloot to Fourways, patience is thin and chaos reigns. We hope the perpetrators of this violent crime are caught.
