Soccer fanatics head to Dainfern
DAINFERN - Africa United will be hosting 16 teams in a football tournament on 26 October.
This tournament will take place at Dainfern College in Fourways, and an amount of R800 will secure the teams’ spots in the competition. The tournament’s organisers allow five players per team and they will play a set of three games on the day of the tournament. The tournament will go on for 14 weeks allowing each team to participate in a seven-week league championship.
Teams that have already signed up for the tournament include Mia Samsung and Real Majita from the Randburg area, as well as First Touch, and one2beat from Fourways and DCD and Trojions from the Dainfern area.
Africa United owner Leon Thistle said the wining team will walk away with the grand prize of R2000 including a soccer kit and a half season free, while the runner up takes R1000 and half season free.
