Body Worlds back by popular demand

Body Worlds and the Cycle of Life is back by popular demand but will be relocating to the Kyalami Grand Prix Circuit.

The exhibition displays actual bodies for visitors to see how the human body is designed.

The specimens on display have been preserved through the process of plastination, a revolutionary preservation technique invented by Dr. Gunther von Hagens in 1977.

Over 240 000 people have already visited the Body Worlds and the Cycle of Life exhibition in South Africa since its African debut in October 2012.

Schools are encouraged to visit the exhibition as it has a strong focus on education and allows biology textbooks to come to life.

Lisa Sherry, a teacher at Trinityhouse High School said, “We had an amazing visit. The pupils were enthralled and awestruck by the exhibits. The anatomy we study came to life in a tangible way. The displays were tastefully set up, magnificently dissected, informative and revealing of so much more than what can be seen from a photograph.”

The Body Worlds and the Cycle of Life exhibition will start on 12 September and run until 24 November at Kyalami Grand Prix Circuit.
