Locals get ‘stronger together’ for the Springboks

Locals created their own safe haven to support the national rugby team as they compete in the Rugby World Cup.

South Africa is through to the Rugby World Cup final, taking place at 21:00 on October 28.

It has been a long, gruelling journey for the Springboks, and their fans.

Diehard rugby fans united to breathe life into the famous Springboks slogan ‘stronger together’ during a night out at Lapa Pub- Fourways Gardens. As the national rugby team fought tooth and nail, residents had their fingers crossed for every minute of the game at the pub.

The atmosphere was electrifying and comradery at an all-time high. Lapa staff and patrons joined together like a protective family in support of the men in green. Some locals could not contain themselves jumping up from their seats and scrumming in unison.
