Beaulieu College awards learner with a scholarship

Lufuno Shokane secures herself a 100% scholarship to attend Beaulieu College in 2024.

One hardworking learner has earned herself a place at one of the country’s top schools thanks to a life-changing scholarship.

Beaulieu College is one of five schools that form the Kyalami Schools Group and it has been running a Saturday school programme where underprivileged learners are brought to the college for access to academic development and a once-in-a-lifetime schooling experience. Learners are selected through a combined process between local primary schools and Beaulieu College and are subjected to an annual academic scholarship exam.

This year, Diepsloot learner Lufuno Shokane, achieved the highest marks in the exam and secured herself a 100% scholarship to attend Beaulieu College in 2024.

The acting head of Beaulieu College, Magalan Pather, was very impressed with Lufuno and wished her all the best. “High school comes with many new challenges and opportunities which she must prepare for, but the college cannot wait to have her join the school and make the most of this opportunity,” said Pather.

“The confidence and comfort with which she presents herself is beyond her years. She is a determined young individual with big dreams to achieve,” he added.

The Kyalami Schools Group is a non-profit, independent group of schools with a rich heritage spanning 25 years. The schools’ group has grown to be among the institutions of choice when it comes to academic achievement and holistic development for many families who want the best for their children.
