Put your action hockey skills to the test at Fourways Action Sports Arena

Action hockey will be on offer at the Fourways Action Sports Arena after much time, planning, and discussions.

A new development is set to tickle the fancy of action hockey players in the community.

Fourways Action Sports Arena has introduced action hockey to its indoor courts. Teams and players at any age or skill level can take part in social matches at the arena.
Owners of the arena, Samantha de Wit and Matthew Meintjes said this had been a plan in the works for some time. “The past few months we have been planning and preparing as we needed to make the rebound boards for the courts as well as ensure there was court time available,” said Meintjies.

The arena announced this development on its social media sites and has received positive feedback from junior and senior players.
Looking to the future, De Wit and Meintjies would like to also establish action hockey teams at the arena which would represent the province in different tournaments. “We will be introducing both a junior and senior league and a coaching academy as well like our netball and cricket,” De Wit concluded.
More information is soon to be announced for interested players, either keen to get back into the sport or those who are interested in trying something new.
