Fourways High School principal thanks parents and staff members for their support to learners

The principal at Fourways High School Andrew Holliday has described the matric Class of 2022 as the most resilient after they finished writing examinations.

Holliday said the Class of 2022 had to deal with many academic challenges. “As a result of the pandemic outbreak in 2020, these learners had to switch to a challenging online learning method when they were in Grade 10. Last year and this year were very challenging for them as they tried to adapt to a traditional way of learning.”

Holliday added that they were hoping to achieve good matric results despite all the challenges. “Our learners and teachers worked very hard and we managed to finish the curriculum in good time. We hope that we get good results and we believe that the learners corrected mistakes made during the preliminary exams.
“We always want to achieve a 100% pass every year with our matrics but our main objective is to get quality passes not just quantity. This year we had 216 matric learners and we are hoping that most of them get bachelors.”

He thanked parents and staff members at the school for their hard work and support to learners.
