Scores of children from different communities of Johannesburg North smiled all the way back home after they received their Christmas gifts from Witkoppen Clinic and partners.
This was after Witkoppen Clinic in partnership with Entruevest Impilo Foundation and Lonehill Ladies Care Foundation hosted its annual Christmas event for orphaned and vulnerable children at the health facility’s premises on November 16.

Business development manager at Witkoppen Clinic Dagmar Kahn said the aim of the event was to help make Christmas time meaningful for children from poor communities.
“Witkoppen provides much-needed psycho-social support to over 800 orphaned and vulnerable children living in the informal settlements. Most of these children have never received a Christmas or birthday gift in their lives. We wanted to make their Christmas special by giving them gifts donated by different people and organisations.”

“I am very excited that this year I received a special gift from Witkoppen Clinic. My Christmas this year will be a special one because I’ve never received a Christmas gift from someone I don’t even know in my life. I am very grateful and thankful for the clinic and their partners did for us.”
