Crawford International Fourways acrobats bend their backs into first and second place in various age groups

Learners from Crawford International Fourways put their right foot forward while performing out of this world acrobatic dances in Rustenburg.

The stage of Rustenburg was set ablaze by Crawford International Fourways acrobatic dancers in a recent competition.

Acro Dynamics worked with a number of learners from the school in Fourways in preparation for their competition. Two of the group who performed in the competition, Cowboy and Girls came first in the 10 years and under, age group, with the Jungle Fever group coming a close second who are also learners at the school.

Coach Anne-Marie de Villiers said she is very proud of all her acrobat dancers and said there is now the aim of training and making her team qualify for a competition in Dublin, Ireland next year.

A special mention went to Sbani Mkhize for the following results:

  • Best female acrobat of Integrated Artistic Acrobatic Association of South Africa 2022
  •  First in intermediate 13 years and under 87.27%
  • First in improvisation 94.20%
  • First in interpretation 93.70%
  • First in duet 87.87%
  • First in trio 84.67%
  • Part of the Waka Waka group who also placed first 81.23%
  • Obtained Integrated Artistic Acrobatic Association of South Africa federation colours 91.72%
