Lonehill was white-collar boxing central thanks to 12 fights of intense punches and uppercuts
Hosting their final white-collar boxing event for 2022, a packed house attended the 12 fights that took place at Lonehill’s Lock Stock and Beer.
Some of the finest amateur boxers graced Lonehill’s Lock Stock and Beer for the final hoorah of the white-collar boxing matches where 12 bouts took place in Lonehill.
World Boxing Entertainment (WBE)’s 36th instalment of white-collar boxing bouts took place where many boxing fans cheered for the fighters who took to the ring for three two-minute rounds.
Organiser of the event, Stephen Castle had thanked local supporters for their continued support and attendance of the fights throughout the year as it continued to let the boxers participating a chance to live out their dreams.
“The night was an amazing success, from the massive support to the great fights. Everything really worked out so well. The standard keeps getting better and better. Some of these fights rival the professional standard,” he said.
While Castle found it difficult to single out one fight that stood out from the evening’s bouts, he named the fight between Dylan ‘Mayhem’ Mestre and Cameron ‘The Torpedo’ Timm, as well as one of the two ladies’ bouts between Heike ‘C-4’ Herselman and Chantelee ‘The Gifted’ Joubert.
Looking to the next year, Castle promised for the fights to be even bigger and better with new developments set to be introduced.
“We will be including Master Box fights into our shows, which is competitive boxing for over 35s with winners and losers, and the possibility of titles down the line as well,” he told Fourways Review.
He mentioned one boxer who took part in the series of fights, Johnny who will be heading into competitive boxing with Master Box in the hopes to win titles. He also mentioned a number of boxers currently in white-collar boxing who should go into the paid ranks, namely Attie Roos, Mestre and Timm.
