Founder of Lelomo CMT, based in Chartwell, Noma Mtombeni said there was an overwhelming response to the fabrics and outfits on display on the night.
“I wanted the models to look normal, and we had a few plus-sized models as well in the clothing because they do also struggle to find outfits. I like to tap into the part of the industry that people don’t or often avoid going into,” she said.

“There are some bright colours even though it’s winter. There is a mix of African print with modern wear since there is the thought that African print has to be traditional. This location was really great to showcase our designs as it is within our area.”
