NPO urges community members to donate to Diepsloot Grade 12 learners

Aga Bokamoso Youth Development is dedicated to promoting the democratic and social rights of the youth.

Aga Bokamoso Youth Development is a non-profit organisation based in Gauteng which aims to help the youth tackle the challenges that they face daily.

The organisation has started an initiative in which they are collecting donations for Grade 12 learners from Diepsloot for their matric dance. Donations can be anything from suits, dresses, shoes, hair and make-up services.

Aga Bokamoso Youth Development is based in Diepsloot and Atteridgeville, Pretoria. It was established January this year by Reitumetse Tlhabi who is from Atteridgeville, and Lebogang Bantsijang and Nehemia Moichela who are both from Diepsloot.

Thlabi said, “The reason why we started this matric dance drive is that we would like to help underprivileged Grade 12 learners in Diepsloot and Atteridgeville so that they attend their matric dance.
“The hope for this drive is to ensure Grade 12 learners know that anything is possible as long as you work hard and let them know that they are note alone, society is there to back them up.”

The organisation also has a football club which has U11, U13, U15, U17 and senior teams which participated in the Diepsloot Easter Community games.

The organisation is currently busy with career expos that will take place in both locations.
