Pinnacle College Kyalami has appointed former deputy principal at Crawford International College in Sandton, Tammy Pannall as the new principal at the school.
Pannall who holds a BEd Honours in Education Management, Post Graduate Diploma in Education, Bachelor of Arts in Business Communication and a Graduate Diploma in Brand Advertising, believed that forging relationships with learners, parents and colleagues could make Pinnacle College Kyalami one of the best schools in Johannesburg.
“I am excited to be working with a dynamic team in identifying the talent and potential of each learner at Pinnacle College Kyalami,” she said.
“I am looking forward to providing more opportunities for learners to grow as individuals and upstanding citizens. I value the opportunity to gain insight into each learner and to work with teachers, parents, and learners as part of a team to ensure that learners achieve their full potential.”
She said her love for innovative, progressive teaching methodologies based on skills development and collaboration was what she brought to the school.
“My belief is that pedagogy should not be restricted to the classroom only but should embrace all aspects of life including the social, emotional and spiritual growth. Children need ‘to do’ to learn. My educational approach is child-centric and my interest lies in what children need to do in the future to become successful global citizens.
“It is imperative that learners acquire the relevant values and skills to think progressively and creatively and to develop grit, tenacity and determination – so needed in an ever-changing environment.”
