A 52-year-old male suspect is under police guard in hospital after he was shot during a high-speed chase with a security guard on February 3 in Olivedale.

Douglasdale police spokesperson, Captain Mpho Tshetlhane said the suspect had allegedly stole a cellphone from a car at a petrol station.
