Fourways runner participates in the Durban Run Your City 10km marathon

Fourways-based runner and member of Murray & Roberts club, Cian Oldknow, finished in sixth position in the Durban Run Your City 10km marathon on October 31.

The 25-year-old said, “I participated in the SA 10km road champs on Sunday 31 October. It was part of the Durban Run Your City 10km race. Overall, I was the sixth lady and fifth for the SA champs in a time of 33:48 which was the best time for me. I am very happy with my performance in the competition.

“I have finished off my racing season for the year… So, I have one-week active recovery and then will start a new training block.” Oldknow said her next big race would be the trials for the World Half Marathon Champs in March next year in China. “I’m hoping to make the team for that race.”
