Douglasdale police host successful domestic workers forum

FOURWAYS – Various first responders educated the community on what to do in an emergency when at their respective home.

A joint crime awareness campaign was held for domestic workers at Fourways Gardens.

The campaign was hosted with thanks to the Douglasdale Community Policing Forum, police and other first responders last month.
Douglasdale Police Station spokesperson, Captain Mpho Tshetlhane said the aim was to raise awareness of various crimes that take place.

“It was to raise awareness on hijackings, theft of/out of motor vehicle, common, business and house robberies including safety at shopping centres and malls including crime in general.
“Fire Ops also reminded the forum about fire safety whilst Netcare 911 taught about first aid,” she said.
The police and CPF thanked all those who were present and supported the event.
