14 suspects arrested during police operations in and around Douglasdale

DOUGLASDALE – The station spokesperson said the suspects were arrested for different crimes.


Police operations in and around Douglasdale led to the arrest of 14 suspects between September 24 and 26.

According to Douglasdale Police Station spokesperson Captain Mpho Tshetlhane, the suspects were arrested for different crimes ranging from assault with intent to do grievous bodily harm, common assault, possession of suspected drugs and reckless driving. “From 24 September to 26 September 2021, Douglasdale police arrested about 14 suspects during their operations that were conducted throughout the area,” she said.

“The suspects were arrested for different crimes ranging from GBH assaults [assault with intent to do grievous bodily harm], common assault, possession of suspected goods, and possession of drugs, shoplifting, and malicious damage to property, contravention of the Disaster Management Act and reckless and negligent driving.”

The arrested suspects are expected to appear at Randburg Magistrates’ Court.
