Two suspects on the run after house robbery in Paulshof

PAULSHOF – Xulu said that valuables stolen from the victim’s house were recovered in a car that was used to commit the crime.

Two of four male suspects for house robbery in Isipingo Close, Paulshof, were arrested on 18 May.

Spokesperson for Sandton Police Station, Captain Bheki Xulu said the suspects, between 38 and 41 years old, were apprehended after Securezza Security company officers who were in the area responded to a call of house robbery.

“Two of four male suspects were shot and apprehended following a robbery that took place at one of the houses in Isipingo Close. The complainant was inside the house when she heard the sound of a door opening and went to check. She saw four unknown males inside of the house. The suspects locked her in the bathroom and started to ransack the house.

“Securezza Security was close to the address.

They attended the scene whereby shooting ensued. Two suspects aged 38 and 41 were shot and suffered minor injuries and received medical attention on the scene.”

Xulu added that valuables stolen from the victim’s house were recovered in a car that was used to commit the crime.

“The other two suspects managed to flee the scene and they are still on the run. The vehicle they were using was reported stolen under a Rosebank case. The complainant’s items stolen in the house – a smart flat-screen TV, clothes and bags, were recovered in that vehicle.”
