Christ Church and SuperSport United announce partnership

NOORDWYK – The SuperSport United Youth Academy make Christ Church Preparatory school and College their new home.


Christ Church Preparatory School and College and Supersport United Football Club have announced a partnership that will see the school become the home of the club’s youth academy.

Spokesperson for the school Dawn Schmitz said the SuperSport United Youth Academy would run for the duration of this year, and the parties would look to expand on the agreement and partnership which would see both the school and the club benefit.

Director of sports and culture at the school Alviro Petersen explained, “We are delighted to partner with such a prestigious football club and host their academy, which is home to great talent and future professional footballers… “Our pupils will undoubtedly benefit from the knowledge of some of the best coaches in the country as the partnership also includes coaching interactions with our school coaches and players.” School principal David Bell added, “We are extremely excited about the prospect of partnering with SuperSport United FC and we believe that both organisations will benefit from the relationship.”

SuperSport United FC academy manager Giancarlo Ballossini concluded, “SuperSport United Youth Academy is very enthusiastic to partner with Christ Church Preparatory School and College.

“Their excellent environment is paramount to the holistic development of our youth footballers on and off the field. Education being a core pillar to our High-Performance Programme, the school ticks all the boxes of a great facility run by professional people like Alviro.”
