Diepsloot Police Station closes until further notice after positive Covid-19 case

DIEPSLOOT – A member at the Diepsloot Police Station has tested positive for Covid-19.

The Diepsloot Police Station is one of the latest police stations to be hit by Covid-19.
The station had to close its doors temporarily on 30 June after one of its members tested positive to the coronavirus. The Community Service Centre will now operate from the Johannesburg Metro Police Department, located opposite the station on the corner of Buffalo and Ingonyama streets, Ext 2.
Police spokesperson Brigadier Mathapelo Peters said the community is advised to call 10111 for all emergencies and complaints which need to be attended to by Diepsloot Police Station.
“The telephone lines at Diepsloot Police Station Community Service Centre will not be accessible for the duration of the closure. The building will be undergoing decontamination and the community will be informed when the station will be operational again,” explained Peters.
The police management apologised for any inconvenience that may arise from this.
