Alternative ways to contact the City during the Covid-19 period

JOBURG – The City urges the public to abide by the government's guidelines on social distancing and good hygiene to combat the spread of the coronavirus.


The City of Joburg has provided the following ways in which customers can get ahold of them in light of the coronavirus outbreak.

“We wish to assure you that we are taking all the precautionary measures possible to guarantee the safety of our residents and employees,” said the City.

The City encourages its customers to do the following:

  • Limit the handling of cash by rather paying your municipal accounts via debit, internet banking and cellphone banking
  • You can log queries on joburgconnect@joburg.org.za, visit the City’s website www.joburg.org.za on e-services to receive your municipal statements through and for additional information
  • Apply discipline and follow the government’s guidance of social distancing, cutting out non-essential travel and implementing strict hygiene practices.
  • Contact the call centre on 086 056 2874 for further information.
