HeronBridge College celebrates sterling results

FOURWAYS – HeronBridge College celebrates a 100 per cent matric pass rate.

HeronBridge College celebrates the excellent results obtained by their matrics.

Keith Wilke, the head of the college, said, “The Class of 2019 enters the next chapter of their lives with God-given gifts and abilities. We are grateful to have been a part of their educational journey and we thank God for having had His hand on their lives in this time. We congratulate them for incredible results and urge them to go out and change the world with heart. May they never lose sight of how much God loves them and may they reflect this in all that they do.”

The matric class obtained a 95 per cent bachelor pass and 166 distinctions in total. The average for all students across all subjects was 71 per cent.

Scott McGill and Clara Fourie, two of the school’s top achievers, received an IEB outstanding and commendable achievement, placing them in the top 5 per cent of all learners in six or more subjects and in the top 60 of all students countrywide.

Wilke said, “These incredible results are especially pleasing for the following reasons. We are not all about academic achievement. It is our purpose to enable every child to achieve results that best reflect his/her potential. All of our children are encouraged and assisted on their personal high school walk. We strongly believe that every student has the ability to be successful and, as a result, our pass rate from Grade 8 to Grade 11 is in excess of 99 per cent.”
