Mayor Mashaba and MMC Sun close down illegal businesses
RANDBURG – City mayor, Herman Mashaba and MMC for Public Safety, Michael Sun joined the operation buya mthetho to end lawlessness in Randburg and Fourways.
Johannesburg mayor, Herman Mashaba together with the MMC for Public Safety, Michael Sun joined the Operation Buya Mthetho team on 13 February in Randburg and Fourways.
Mashaba who was in Randburg visited various business places that were operating illegally and closed them down in an attempt to make owners comply with the laws.
This panel beater was closed for not complying with the by-laws and operating illegally.

The mayor and his team were surprised when they discovered illegal structures at the back yard of someone’s property. He said the property was connected to the City’s electricity illegally.

The mayor closed down an establishment that was operating as a brothel illegally in Randburg.

“I am seriously concerned about the level of reckless disregard for the law. By closing down these businesses, we are making sure that the law is adhered to. We can not afford a society that is ruled by lawlessness,” whatsoever, said Mashaba in the statement.
While in Fourways, the MMC for Public Safety, Michael Sun, was dealing with road safety, vehicle compliance, by-law enforcement and restoration of law and order.
