On 29 January officers from the Douglasdale Police Station, together with members of Sector 4 of the Douglasdale Community Policing Forum, community patrollers and Montecasino security, held a joint crime awareness campaign along Montecasino Boulevard and Witkoppen Road.
About 500 pamphlets with safety tips for motorists were distributed which addressed armed robberies, hijackings and theft out of motor vehicles.
