237 distinctions for Fourways High School

FOURWAYS – The only government high school in Fourways has something to celebrate as the National Senior Certificate results were released, with 237 distinctions awarded to the Class of 2018.

 


Fourways High School congratulates the Grade 12 Class of 2018 on an excellent set of National Senior Certificate results, which were released to exam writers and the public on 4 January.

For the exams, Fourways High School achieved a 99.6% pass rate, 88% of which were bachelor degree passes and 237 distinctions in total.

The top 10 achievers were:

• Micaela Santangelo achieved an overall average of 88.14% and was awarded six distinctions in Afrikaans, mathematics, life orientation, accounting, business studies and information technology (IT). She was also named the Dux Scholar for being the top student in the school.

• Shania Richardson achieved an overall average of 87.86% and was awarded six distinctions in Afrikaans, mathematics, life orientation, engineering graphics and design (EGD), life science and physical science.

• Prenavan Murugan achieved an overall average of 87.71% and was awarded six distinctions in Afrikaans, mathematics, life orientation, accounting, life science and physical science.

• Robyn Bayne achieved an overall average of 87.29% and was awarded six distinctions in English, Afrikaans, mathematics, life orientation, geography and life science.

• Anna Kotschy achieved an overall average of 87.14% and was awarded six distinctions in English, Afrikaans, life orientation, EGD, life science and physical science.

• Sanam Maharaj Mojarad achieved an overall average of 86.86% and was awarded seven distinctions in English, Afrikaans, mathematics, life orientation, history, life science and physical science.
