IN PICTURES: Schools do their bit for #MandelaDay

FOURWAYS GARDENS – The children of Junior College Preschool Fourways Gardens were excited to keep the needy warm this Mandela Day while Cedarwood School in Kyalami celebrated 100 years since Madiba's birth.

Junior College Preschools Gardens collected blankets for Mandela Day, which were donated to the Kids Haven.

The little ones from the school were so excited about their donation that they helped load all the blankets on the truck. Chenelle Walker, principal of Junior College Preschools Gardens, expresses that she appreciates and is happy with the number of donations from parents and staff of the preschool, and hopes to continue this project moving forward.

Reddam House Waterfall Estate Early Learning School and Preparatory School joined forces with the Waterfall Estate Events Committee in the ‘Sandwich for a Friend’ drive.
The ‘Sandwich for a Friend Drive’ celebrated the 100th anniversary of Nelson Mandela’s birthday. The children prepared over 1700 sandwiches which were enjoyed by the children at the Gideon Rambuwani Combined School in Tembisa. OTIMA also donated 2000 lunch boxes for this drive.
