Douglasdale police clean up their station

DOUGLASDALE – Read what your neighbourhood police have been up to.

Douglasdale Police Station recently conducted a clean-up of the station as part of its monthly cleaning programme.

According to the head of communications for the station, Captain Mpho Tshetlhane, the programme aims to improve the appearance and image of the station.

“I believe that cleanliness is next to godliness hence we are cleaning the station. We also wanted to create a welcoming atmosphere for our clients and community members,” said Tshetlhane.

She said the clean-up was about voluntary collective effort and teamwork between the members from all the components in the station. “If community members want to help or join us in future they are most welcome to do so because this station is for the community. Anyone interested in helping with the next clean-up can contact the station.”

Tshetlhane, however, said they are also continuing with regular patrols and crime awareness campaigns in order to eliminate all criminal activities in our area.
