Douglasdale Police Station’s communications officer, Captain Mpho Tshetlhane advised community members of the areas they cover as a police station.
Tshetlhane said the station covers four sectors:
- Sector 1 includes Bellairs Park, Douglasdale, Joburg North, Jukskei Park, Meadowhurst, North Riding, Olivedale and Sharonlea.
“Community members in those areas need to contact 071 6757150 or 071 6757151,” Tshetlhane said.
- Sector 2 includes Bloubosrand, Broadacres Shopping Centre, Cedar Lakes, Chartwell, Craigavon, Farmall, Hoogland, Witkoppen, Lonehill, Kya Sands, Maroeladal, Noordhang and Riverbend.
“Community members in those areas need to contact 071 675 7152 or 071 675 7153.”
- Sector 3 includes Chartwell North, Dainfern, Dainfern Valley, Dainfern Ridge, Fourways Gardens, Kengies, Palm Lands, Stratford, Witkoppen extensions and Zevenfontein.
“Community members in those areas need to contact 071 675 7154 or 071 675 7155.”
- Sector 4 includes Beverley, Blandford Ridge, Bluehaven, Fourways, Lonehill, Magaliessig, Magaliesig View, Norscot and Pineslopes.
“Community members in those areas need to contact 071 675 7156 or 0716757157.”
Tshetlhane said the police are holding regular patrols and crime prevention operations to ensure visibility in the community. “Crime awareness campaigns are also held to educate and inform the community on how to ensure their safety this festive season.”
