Cedar Road on track

FOURWAYS – Planned closure of the intersection of Witkoppen and Cedar roads has been delayed due to recent rains. Find out more here!

All lanes on Cedar Road should be open by 19 October.

This was communicated by Jodan Construction, the company which is completing the work in the area. The company informed residents that the sections of Cedar Road at the Valley Road and Cedar Boulevard intersections were due to be tarred on 16 and 17 October, which would be the final phase of work on Cedar.

“Access to the Broadacres Shopping Centre [at the corner of Cedar and Valley roads] will still be available during this time,” the communication read.

The closure of Witkoppen Road, that had been planned for the weekend of 14 and 15 October, was unable to take place due to delays caused by recent rains. This closure, between William Nicol Drive and Cedar Road, was so that workers could safely dismantle the temporary scaffolding which had been used to construct the bridge over Witkoppen. The company will inform residents of the new date of these planned closures as soon as it is able to.

Jodan Construction also wanted to thank motorists for their patience during the road updates.
