Musical festivals for happy barks

FOURWAYS – The South African Guide Dogs Association makes a smashing success of their music festival. Read here to join in the fun.

The South African Guide Dogs Association Music Festival was a wagging success with all the proceeds from the event donated to the Paulshof-based association.

Entertained by local bands such as Georgetown, Majozi, The Motherland and Zé, attendees stretched out on the grass under the spring sun and sipped on craft beer or a steamy cuppa.

An array of different vendors provided rustic artisan cuisine among other delicious treats.

Roger Glover, a community member said, “Music sets your mood and the idea of combining music with a good cause is phenomenal.”

Juliette Powell from the association said they hope to make the festival an annual event, with every year becoming bigger and better.

Families and canines enjoy South African homegrown talent.
