Friends of Free Wildlife are busy bees this year

KYALAMI – Find out what Friends of Free Wildlife is up to.

Preserving nature is important to Friends of Free Wildlife (FFW) and they have now admitted 1 250 cases since they were granted an operational permit by the Gauteng Department of Agriculture and Rural Development (GDARD) in December last year.

The chairperson of Free Wildlife, Margi Brocklehurst, stated that through four directors, a dedicated group of volunteers and, most importantly, the generosity of their supporters, FFW was able to find a new home in Kyalami. “The home comprises two large fully fitted clinics, a brand-new animal kitchen, a volunteers’ tearoom/kitchenette, a large reception area, a laundry, a selection of aviaries and mammal cages, parking for the public and a beautiful garden.”

Brocklehurst added that it has been a huge amount of hard work, but it was rewarding to once again be able to offer a refuge for compromised urban wildlife in the community.

Friends of Free Wildlife is situated at 1/193 Maple Road in Kyalami.
